GASTRONOMY & WINE TOUR in Friuli

DAY 1: GORIZIA – GRADISCA
D’ISONZO
Depart
from Ronchi Airport. Departure with our coach and guide to Gorizia.
We will visit
the city and pleasant stay and taste traditional cakes like Gubana and
Mandorlato di Marzapane. After we will proceed to Gradisca d’Isonzo
where we will
visit a local winery followed by the 1° guided tasting of
some native Friulian wines.
Evening meal in typical restaurant featuring
local products.
At the end, transfer to our hotel. Overnight stay.
DAY 2: UDINE – SAN DANIELE DEL FRIULI – CIVIDALE DEL FRIUL
After
breakfast departure to Udine, we will visit the city and the House Wine
(in Italian: Casa del Vino), showcases the finest of Friuli Venezia
Giulia’s wines. Udine, capital of Friuli, is an elegant city with interesting museums and a well
conserved historic centre.
After the city tour we will proceed to San
Daniele del Friuli, a town with a rich heritage of art, culture and
craft traditions, famous for its
air–cured ham
(in Italian:Prosciutto Crudo).
City tour and free lunch. Continue to visit a guided
tour of one of the many ham factories and taste the delicious Prosciutto Crudo DOP.
Afterwards your
coach will take to Cividale del Friuli, the Forum Iulii founded by
Giulio Cesare around 50 B.C.
Visit a local winery followed by the 2°
guided tasting of sweet wines from Friuli.
Afterwards visit a local
pastry makers, (specialized in manufacturing Gubana and other bakery
products typical of the region: strudel, strucchi and focacce).
At the
end, transfer to our hotel. Dinner and overnight.

DAY
3: CORMONS
After breakfast departure to
Cormons, characteristic little town at the
foot
of Monte Quarin in Friuli Venezia Giulia and renowned for its wines and fruit.
Visit a local winery, around which is planted the Vineyard of
the world, with
over four hundred
varieties of vine from the five continents.
The fruit is harvested
together to produce the Wine of Peace, which is
sent every year to heads of
Nations taste all over the world as an
invitation
to peace and brotherhood.
At the and of the visit we will
proceed to Ronchi Airport.
Lunch in the airport restaurant.
Flight departure.
The
