Venice and Veneto Wines (Italy)
Veneto
Day 1: (Val D’Apone) L-D-O
In the early morning arrival of the guests at the airport of Bergamo
with low cost, meeting with the local guide and transfer to Soave;
hotel accommodation. Transfer to Ronca, in Val d’Apone, to visit a
producer of typical DOP cheeses and salami “soppressa veneta”;
tastings;
light lunch in Vestenanova. In the afternoon excursion to the
Museum of fossils in Bolca and to Pesciaia; visit of a famous
winery and of
its vineyards; tastings.
Transfer to Monteforte d’Apone to
visit the Bishop’s Palace and return to hotel and welcome dinner.
Day 2: (Verona) B-L-O
Breakfast and departure for Verona ; guided tour around the centre
between romanticism and history; lunch on your own; afternoon
excursion
on Garda lake and return to the hotel for a little course on
cooking to learn a local seasonal country-style menu; dinner
with the created menu
and paring of wines with different dishes.
Optional excursion: boat excursion with the “Burchiello” from Padova to
Venice with daily tour; lunch at “Al Burchiello”;
Free dinner and evening in Venice.
Day 3: (Val Tramigna) B-L-D-O
Breakfast and morning walk in the historical centre of Soave; visit of
an important producer of Soave wine;
following transfer to “Enoteca del Soave”
for a short lesson to
introduce the tasting of Soave wine and of the
other DOC and DOCG wines of the province of Verona; country-style lunch.
Afternoon visit to the Medieval
Castle of Soave; free time for shopping and dinner.
Day 4: (Bassano del Grappa)
B-L-D-O
Excursion to Gramellara to Cantine Zonin to learn the wine processing
techniques and to visit the museum of country-style life;
tasting and lunch in the hall of the winery; transfer to Nomi to plunge
in the ancient world of pottery and china with a visit of an
artisan specialized in creating pottery articrafts. Transfer to Bassano
del Grappa to walk on the romantic wooden bridge and
following visit of a local grappa distillery or free time for
shopping
at Belfè Outlet ; dinner in a typical restaurant and return to the
hotel.
Day 5: (Venice) B-L-D-O
Morning guided excursion to Venice, the romantic town between canals and
bridges, on board of a “gondola” and on foot.
Lunch on your own and free time for shopping; afternoon transfer to
Colli Euganei to visit a wellness centre and a winery
producing local DOC
wines with tastings; local dinner and return to
hotel.
Day 6: (Val d’Illasi) B-L-D-O
Breakfast and tour through the green Verona hills to visit a farm
factory producing the Garda lake DOP olive oil, with
tasting of olive oil and
by-products; transfer to Illasi for lunch in
the traditional “Enoteca del Mosto Sacro”;
visit of an important winery producing Valpolicella DOC
and Recioto
della Valpolicella Amarone, with tastings.

Day 7: B
Transfer to the airport. End of tour.
